FAQ
Is it really a person drawing me?
Yes. Every drawing is made by hand by another person, stroke by stroke — you can replay the whole thing being drawn. There is no AI generating portraits anywhere in the app.
Do I need an account?
No. Strangely Drawn is anonymous — no name, no email, no password. One tap — Delete my account & data — removes your account and everything you've shared (your selfies and your drawings) from our servers at any time; short-lived backups age out afterward. To take down a single item — or a drawing someone made of you — use Report.
Is it safe?
Every shared selfie is moderated before it can enter the pool, and you can report or block anyone. Read our community guidelines for what's allowed.
What do I draw with?
A hand-tuned brush engine on a real canvas — pencil, ink, and marker, with pressure and size control. It feels like drawing, because it is.
